One Morning, on a Winter's day I travelled to Fallmouth, Cape Cod. It was here - July 9th. 1975 - where the artist Bas Jan Ader set sail and disappeared. In his tiny boat Ocean Wave. In Search of the Miraculous. To commemorate him and his body of work I staged myself standing on the coastline of Falmouth, looking at the sea. My head lost in pathetic sunlight. Image inspired by Ader's photograph: Farewell To My Faraway Friends¹ and by Charles Baudelaire's line: One Morning We Set Sail, With Brains On Fire [..] -The Voyage.
